Antibacterial Company Debuts Station at USA Wrestling National Finals

Matguard USA, the leading antibacterial product company focused on preventing skin disease in athletics, recently teamed up with USA Wrestling to launch a first-of-its-kind wipe down station at the national finals in Fargo, North Dakota. Wrestlers in the competition, which escalated to a number over 5,000 and representing all 50 states in the country, used the wipe down station as part of an initiative to protect the skin of athletes after their matches.

“Both our company and USA Wrestling remain committed to eliminating skin diseases in wrestling, and the launching this wipe down station marks a historical step in that battle,” said Tom Bunge, President of Matguard USA. “On behalf of Matguard USA, I would like to thank USA Wrestling for playing such a critical role in the development of the wipe down station, and we look forward to showcasing it at additional locations in the future.”

The wipe down station at the FargoDome featured various products from the line of Matguard USA, with its body cleansing sprays and disinfectant wipes being available for each of the competitors as they came off the mats.

“The drive to reduce the spread of skin disease is the best thing for maintaining health within the sport of wrestling,” said Dr. Ken Lane, medical representative for USA Wrestling. “Skin disease is a constant battle for our athletes, and such initiatives as the wipe down station provided by Matguard USA at the national finals are playing a key role in its awareness and prevention.”

The patented skin and body protection products by Matguard USA are used by over 1,500 professional, college and high school sports teams, as well as over 1,000 MMA facilities, gyms and health clubs to assist in the prevention of MRSA and other skin diseases. Its product line includes body wipes, body cleansing sprays and foams that protect athletes from attaining potentially dangerous skin infections when used after athletic activity.
