NPL Has National Presence, Serves as Part of US Club Soccer
The New Jersey Wildcats Youth Soccer Club officially received an invitation to join US Club Soccer’s National Premier Leagues (NPL), and the organization has happily accepted that bid. Operating 17 youth soccer leagues across the nation, the NPL serves as one of the largest collective soccer organizations in the country.
“We are very excited to join the National Premier Leagues, and there was no hesitation in accepting the invitation when it was given to us,” Wildcats President Kevin McDermott remarked. “Being part of a league that has such a large national presence gives all of the players who are part of our organization the chance to showcase their skills on a much larger stage, as well as develop into better players by competing against such talented opposition.”
The NPL was created with a mission to provide a unified, league-based national developmental platform with the highest level of competition in given geographic areas. It is also focused on elevating and changing the competitive youth soccer landscape based upon US Club Soccer’s fundamental principles. The NPL extends developmental principles envisioned by the US Soccer Development Academy into younger age groups and additional clubs, providing a platform for long-term player development. Scouts are regularly in attendance at NPL events, and off-the-field lectures, seminars and coaching are further positive components associated with the organization.
