Company to Do Cooperative Efforts with ABA Franchise
Newark, N.J. (Wednesday, June 24, 2009) – The momentum surrounding Resolution Sports continues to build, and the company formally announced today that they have formed a partnership with the Jersey Express of the American Basketball Association. The two groups will work together cooperatively in cross promotional efforts, and additional details of the relationship will be announced in the near future.
"Speaking on behalf of Resolution Sports, it is with a great deal of excitement that we announce our partnership with the Jersey Express," Resolution Sports President John Archibald commented. "Marsha Blount and the Jersey Express have proven to be a very strong organization since their establishment in 2005, and a partnership with them as they enter their fifth year of play is something that has sent a wave of energy throughout our company. These are exciting times for Resolution Sports, and we cannot wait to get the ball rolling on this partnership!"
Marsha Blount, Jersey Express President, had the same reaction as Archibald to the new partnership.
"I am excited about the possibilities of this new partnership between the Jersey Express and Resolution Sports,” she stated. “We look forward to taking full advantage of the variety of services that Resolution Sports can provide. In just a few short months, Resolution Sports has shown to be a real 'player' in the area of media and public relations. The Jersey Express has always been about developing partnerships with community based companies and organizations; that's why Resolution Sports is a company we feel can help develop the Express Experience."
The Jersey Express is a member of the American Basketball Association and is currently preparing for their fifth season in the ABA. When the team was founded in 2005 by Blount and Jacqueline Halyard, they hired legendary NBA dunker Darryl “Chocolate Thunder” Dawkins as their inaugural head coach, and former Seton Hall standout Shaheen Holloway was brought in as their starting point guard. The Express reached the ABA postseason that first year and additionally sent six players overseas to continue their playing careers. For their second season, former NBA center Ron Moore took over as head coach, and the team had another competitive year. The Express have made the playoffs in each of their past two seasons and reached the ABA Elite Eight last year with former NBA guard Jerry “Ice” Reynolds at the helm. Resolution Sports was created by founder John Archibald in 2008. While working at his post as the Director of Communications for the New Jersey Ironmen professional indoor soccer team, he began receiving requests from various sports organizations to produce a variety of tasks centered around the world of sports communication. As those requests began to steadily increase, he conceptualized the idea of a communication-based sports company on a train ride home from Newark one evening, and the foundation of Resolution Sports was created that very night. Within a matter of three weeks, Resolution Sports LLC was fully licensed and operational, and the company is now building an arsenal of goal-oriented partners in the sports industry such as the Jersey Express. The company works directly with its partners in a collective pursuit of achieving personal and organizational goals while focusing upon the realm of sports communication.
