Derek Frazier Being “Made” on MTV, Episode Debuting this Saturday Afternoon
Derek Frazier, the youngest son of Hall of Fame boxer Smokin’ Joe Frazier, has always held an extreme admiration for his late father and long sought out a way to honor his legacy in a way that would make him proud. MTV has provided the platform for the 21-year-old Frazier to do just that, and a worldwide audience will be witness when the reality series Made returns this Saturday with a feature on the youngest son of the boxing legend.
“When my father passed on November 7th, 2011, the entire world lost an incredible man, and I lost an amazing father,” the youngest Frazier remarked. “My father touched a countless amount of people throughout his lifetime. This documentary on MTV will be a tribute to a man who will always be a hero to so many, myself included. I was just lucky enough to be able to call him Dad.”
Frazier’s episode of Made, which cannot be detailed at the time due to contractual obligations, will air at 2:00 p.m. this Saturday afternoon on MTV, and he will be hosting a premiere party at Philadelphia hotspot Chickie’s & Pete’s, which is located at 1526 Packer Avenue. The event will take place from 1-4:00 p.m. with the official broadcast debut being aired live on all 28 flat-screen TVs at the venue. The premiere is open to the public with no cover charge, but meals and drinks will be the responsibility of each patron in attendance.
“I am inviting all of my family, friends and fans to come to Chickie’s & Pete’s to join us for the debut broadcast of this documentary,” Frazier said. “For anyone who admired my father for what he did both inside and outside of the boxing ring, I would love to have you come share this great moment with me and my family. I am dedicating this documentary to the memory of my father, a man who taught me that anything is possible when you let nothing stand in your way.”
No RSVP is needed to attend this event, but everyone is strongly encouraged to arrive at the event as close to 1:00 p.m. as possible.
