Oral Bullen Begins First Season as Head Coach at Mary Help of Christians Academy
Planet90 Soccer finished a second camp this past Friday
Bloomfield, N.J. (Monday, August 24, 2009) – Now that the first summer of camps are in the books, Planet90 Soccer President Oral Bullen is shifting his focus to another opportunity that he was offered earlier this year. The bell rang today for the first day of classes at Mary Help of Christians Academy in North Haledon, and Bullen already has his sights set on the upcoming soccer season in what will be his first year as head coach of the Blue Jays.
“First, I would like to thank Mary Help of Christians Academy for giving me this opportunity to become their head soccer coach,” Bullen stated. “My overall expectation is to change the soccer culture at the school. The school is well known for their prestigious academic program, and I would like to bring that same level of awareness to the soccer program.”
Bullen went on to comment about his main focus for the program.
“My goal for this season is improvement, and improvement is the key word,” he said. “I would like to introduce this team to a different style of soccer. That style is something I cannot say because I would be handing my opposing coaches an edge, but overall improvement in the team is my main goal for the upcoming season.”
Bullen got familiar with some of the players on his team over the past couple of weeks with the first-ever two camps of Planet90 Soccer, which were hosted by Mary Help of Christians Academy.
“My overall attitude of the first two camps is great,” he continued. “The campers were great, and the atmosphere was amazing. To mix learning with something as fun as playing the game of soccer is always the best ingredient. Hearing first hand from the campers that they have learned something new in the week is enough to know the Planet90 Soccer Camp was a success. Camps at the school will be part of raising soccer awareness at Mary Help and in the North Haledon area. With that being said, my company, Planet90 Soccer, will be holding winter indoor soccer tournaments in North Haledon and White Plains, New York. Stay tuned for dates and location information.”
The Blue Jays of Mary Help of Christians Academy are slated to make their 2009 regular season debut with Bullen at the helm on Friday, September 11th, when they travel to face Manchester Regional High School at 4:00 p.m. For more information on Planet90 Soccer, visit them on the web at www.planet90soccer.com.
