Fights to Take Place at the Capitale in New York City
New York, N.Y. (Tuesday, September 8, 2009) – The Jersey Fight Club formally announced today that two of their members are set for amateur fights towards the end of this month. On Friday, September 25th, heavyweight Marcos Taylor and lightweight Rich Bertolle will be representing the Jersey Fight Club in Muay Thai kickboxing at the Capitale in New York City.
Heralding from Plainfield, New Jersey, the heavy-fisted Marcos Taylor is a fight veteran who moves very well with his 300-pound frame. Specializing in the art of Muay Thai kickboxing, Taylor will be facing Wayne Brown that evening. Rich Bertolle is also a crafty Muay Thai kickboxer that is currently 3-0 in his amateur career, and he makes his home in Cranford, New Jersey. In the 152/155-pound weight class, he will square off against Eddie Fahey.
Doors open at the Capitale, located at 130 Bowery in New York City, at 7:00 p.m. on September 25th, and the first fight of the night will take place at 8:00 p.m. General admission tickets are available for $35, ringside seating is $55, VIP ringside tickets are $75 and front row VIP seats are available for $100. 17 fights are currently on the card for this action-packed evening of mixed martial arts.
The Jersey Fight Club was founded by Kevin Mulhall, and the MMA veteran serves as its main instructor. He has over 15 years of Muay Thai training under Vut Kamnark and Dan Miragliotta, and he is a 6th Degree Black Belt in Kar-Do-Jitsu Ryu, a 4th Degree Black Belt in Hoteikan Ju-Jitsu and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He is also a licensed judge and referee under the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board. He has over 25 years of experience in martial arts, and he has officiated over 500 MMA fights and judged over 50 MMA bouts. Among the accolades he accomplished as a fighter were a 1st Kar-Do-Jitsu Ryu U.S. Championship, and he has been a Deborah Heart Invitational Grand Champion, WPKO U.S. Champion and WPKO Grand Champion.
The Jersey Fight Club currently has two schools in Perth Amboy and Cranford, New Jersey. The Jersey Fight Club specializes in mixed martial arts and teaches the individual components of MMA such as Muay Thai kickboxing, submission grappling, boxing and wrestling, as well as showing how it all works together.
