Company to Handle Communication Needs for Soccer Academy

Atlantic City, N.J. (Thursday, October 15, 2009) – As the company closes on its one-year anniversary, Resolution Sports announced today that they have partnered with the Goran Vasic Soccer Academy. In addition to collaborative marketing efforts, Resolution Sports will handle the communication needs of the recently launched academy headlined by Vasic, who enjoyed a 20-year career as a professional player.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Goran Vasic at both the Philadelphia KiXX and New Jersey Ironmen, and I am very excited to join forces with him as he launches his own soccer academy,” Resolution Sports President John Archibald commented. “Goran brings the unique mixture of both a European and American approach to his training, and I know that he and his staff will provide an edge to those players that come through their academy that will be second to none.”

The Goran Vasic Soccer Academy will cover a region that will include New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, and it will coach players of various ages and playing levels. Many plans with the academy are currently in development and will be made public within the upcoming weeks and months. As all news is released, it will be made available through the official academy website at For more information or additional questions pertaining to the academy, Vasic can be reached at

“I have known John Archibald since we were both in Philadelphia, and we did a lot of work together while we were with the New Jersey Ironmen,” Vasic said. “Resolution Sports is a product of his strong work ethic, and it was a no-brainer for me to partner with his company once I launched my own soccer academy.”

Resolution Sports was founded last November by John Archibald after the concept of establishing a communication-based sports company came into his head on a train ride home from working one evening in latter 2008. The foundation of Resolution Sports was created that very night, and Resolution Sports LLC was fully licensed and operational within a matter of three weeks. The company is now building an arsenal of goal-oriented partners in the sports industry such as Sky Blue FC, and the company works directly with those partners in a collective pursuit of achieving personal and organizational goals. In less than a year, Resolution Sports has developed a national presence that originates in the Northeast and stretches as far west as California all the way to the southern tip of Florida.

Born in Belgrade, Serbia, Vasic began playing the game of soccer when he was only five-years-old. He was born the youngest of four sons, and the ball has not left his feet since he put his first touches on it with his older brothers at that young age. When he was only eight-years-old, Vasic was picked up by a scout from Red Star Belgrade, who is one of the largest clubs in Europe. He remained in their youth system for the next 10 years until inking a professional deal to play for First Division and Second Division clubs in Serbia.

In May of 1997, Vasic moved west to the United States to play professionally after Cleveland Crunch assistant coach Joe Raduka scouted him at a game in Serbia. He then started his American career with the Houston Hotshots of the Continental Indoor Soccer League before joining the Crunch/Force the following season. The playmaker then spent four years with the Philadelphia KiXX after three seasons in Cleveland, winning an indoor championship in both locations. Vasic then moved onto the Milwaukee Wave for a season before spending the past two years with the New Jersey Ironmen. Playing for Omid Namazi, his former teammate and coach with the KiXX, he assumed the role of assistant coach in his second season and helped the Ironmen get within a game of a league championship.

For his indoor career, Vasic tallied 675 points on 218 goals and 268 assists, and he also shown his defensive prowess with 183 blocks. Along with big numbers, he has also received a number of personal accolades such as All-Star appearances and being a points and assist champion.
