Megan Gunning Hired as
Philadelphia KiXX In-Game Announcer

Megan Gunning will keep the Liacouras Center crowd on their feet this season.

KiXX Play Home Opener on Saturday, January 9th, at Liacouras Center

Philadelphia (Sunday, January 3, 2010) – With its Major Indoor Soccer League home opener just one week away, the Philadelphia KiXX announced today that TV personality and product spokesperson Megan Gunning will be the KiXX in-game announcer this season. Gunning, who was Miss Maryland in 2001, has hosted a variety of TV programs across many different platforms while also tapping into all other forms of entertainment during her professional career.

“We are pleased to have Megan as the personality of our in-game entertainment this season,” KiXX Vice President Darcee’ Roberts said of Gunning. “Megan will be a great addition to all the excitement of KiXX soccer in our new venue at Liacouras Center, and I can’t wait until January 9th to get all the fun started!”

Gunning will be making a return to Philadelphia this season for the KiXX, as the Maryland native has spent time with NBC-10 as a traffic reporter and WYSP 94.1 FM as a guest radio personality. She has worked in TV for a variety of stations, including the Speed Network, FSN and E! Entertainment News. Additionally, she has served as the spokesperson for Lipo-6 by NUTREX, Dream Body and Banital while also promoting various products on QVC and HSN. Gunning has also attending many training programs throughout the country for such specifications as cosmetology, makeup, TV hosting and acting.

Gunning joins the KiXX for its historic first home game at the Liacouras Center on the campus of Temple University next Saturday, January 9th, when they will be hosting the Rockford Rampage at 7:00 p.m. Season and group ticket packages for the KiXX are available now by calling 1-888-888-KiXX, and all fans are strongly encouraged to purchase seats in advance for this huge moment in team history.
