GVSA Indoor Teams to Begin Playing Later this Month

Middletown, Conn. (Monday, January 18, 2010) – The Goran Vasic Soccer Academy (GVSA) is pleased to announce that the company will now have three indoor teams representing the academy, each beginning play later this month at a tournament at the Oakwood Sports Center in Glastonbury, Connecticut. Wearing the red, white and blue colors of the GVSA will be both a boys and girls U-8 team, as well as a U-10 boys side.

“I am very happy to have three teams representing our company,” GVSA founder Goran Vasic commented. “The company itself is also growing at a very nice rate, and it is great to see kids of all skill levels and ages becoming better soccer players through our academy. Seeing them having fun playing the game makes this whole process very rewarding.”

The new indoor teams kicked off training sessions this past week, and the two boys clubs will play their first matches this Saturday, January 23rd, with the girls will making their debut on Sunday. The GVSA is also looking for players who would be interesting in representing the academy in spring leagues. The GVSA also announces today that it will be hosting a winter break camp from February 16-19th at Wesley Elementary School, located at 10 Wesleyan Hills Road in Middletown. For ages 4-6, a half-day camp is being conducted for $65, and full day $95 camp is being done for those players that are seven or older. Among the skills that will be developed during the GVSA Winter Break Camp include dribbling, passing, shooting, juggling and one-on-one from both the offensive and defensive perspective. There will also be position specific training for goalkeepers. The Goran Vasic Soccer Academy covers a region that includes New Jersey, New York and Connecticut, and it coaches players of various ages and playing levels.
