Resolution Sports CEO John Archibald to Serve as Media Director for Uprising Promotions
New York-based Uprising Promotions has formally named Resolution Sports as its official media firm, with company CEO John Archibald taking over as Media Director for the promotion. Resolution Sports will manage media relations and assist with online marketing strategies for Uprising Promotions, in addition to handling all press releases for the group.
“It has been a real pleasure working with John,” said Ronson Frank, President of Uprising Promotions. “He brings something to our promotion that is essential as far as getting the word out to the media. This is what we desperately needed, a young guy who is hungry and growing his own company, and it relates well to us. He is growing his company as we are trying to grow ours, and I think we can blossom into something great together. It’s been a pleasure working with him.
“As far as moving forward, John is officially our media guy. Any information you need for the shows, contact him.” (Email: jarchibald@ResSports.com)
Uprising Promotions was founded in 2012 and showcases many top prospects and veterans on its shows throughout New York City. Currently signed to the promotion are three premiere prospects in super featherweight Angel Luna (9-0, 6 KOs), lightweight Wesley Ferrer (5-0, 4 KOs) and Irish junior welterweight Darren Mangan (1-0).
“I am beyond excited to be working with Ronson and everyone at Uprising Promotions,” Archibald remarked. “Ronson is an undefeated fighter himself who comes from a boxing family. His experience in the ring makes it easy for him to identify with fighters, and he has an excellent business mindset that makes him a great leader for this promotion. This is a fantastic day for Resolution Sports to be joining the team of Ronson, Peter ‘Kid Chocolate’ Quillin and Uprising Promotions, and I promise that we will be doing everything in our power to make sure everyone in boxing knows all about this great promotion.”
Uprising Promotions will be hosting its next card at the Five Star Banquet Hall on Friday, November 14th, with Luna, Ferrer and Mangan all slated for action. Luna will be returning to the ring for the first time since a second round TKO of Joey Arroyo at the Five Star Banquet Hall in May. Ferrer made short work of Shiwone Gortman on the last Uprising Promotions show by finishing him with a liver shot in the first round, while Mangan dominated Kashif Mohamed that same night in his professional debut. Opponents for the three Uprising Promotions representatives will be announced upon confirmation.
Two additional bouts are currently set for the card that are sure to entertain. The always willing to engage Italy Martinez (1-2-1, 1 KO) takes on the tactical Glenford Nickey (3-1, 1 KO), while rising middleweight Akil Auguste (4-1, 4 KOs) will face durable veteran Troy Artis (3-5-1, 2 KOs).
Five Star Banquet Hall is located at 13-05 43rd Avenue in Long Island City, Queens, New York. Tickets for the November 14th card are priced at $60 for general admission and $100 for ringside seating. There is also a table option with dinner, beer/wine and seating with a celebrity fighter. For pricing on those tables, call (516) 451-6773.
Additionally, Uprising Promotions is also pleased to announce that a fundraiser will be taking place on November 14th to benefit children with autism, and proceeds from the night will be donated to The School For Language and Communication Development in Glen Cove, New York.
This upcoming show is being sponsored by Alamo Restaurant and Frank Brothers Fitness. For more information on Uprising Promotions and to keep up with all of our latest news, make sure to check out www.UprisingPromotions.com.
