Jersey Pump officially created an even greater ambition for its rapidly growing product on Friday, announcing that the balanced fitness drink has created a partnership with JAR of Hope philanthropy. Started by James Raffone in 2013 after a diagnosis of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy with his son, Jamesy, JAR of Hope was created to find a cure for the devastating disease that has roughly 300,000 worldwide cases.
“We feel honored and blessed to join forces with JAR of Hope to fight Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy,” said Dany Nohra, Jersey Pump Founder and CEO. “We want to give these young kids and parents a louder voice to bring more awareness to Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and these gladiators are unquestionably part of the DNA that we represent. Together, we will find a cure for this terrible disease.”
The ultimate goal for JAR of Hope is to find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a muscle wasting disease that aggressively attacks the human muscular system. JAR of Hope has a dedicated mission to provide funding for medical needs and outside the box treatment methods. Among the ways that JAR of Hope seeks funds for its mission is through Push-Ups for Dollars, a nationwide cause that sees people of all types do 10 push-ups for a $10 contribution to the foundation.
“This balanced fitness drink is the first in the fitness environment to back a terminally ill child who has a muscle wasting disease,” said James Raffone, JAR of Hope Founder. “Jersey Pump has built a drink to support the healthy human being, and now they are stepping into the arena like a true gladiator to help these boys who are suffering.”
Essentially, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy had no voice before the diagnosis of Jamesy on September 13, 2013. That is when James Raffone stepped into the arena to finally give it a voice, refusing to accept anything other than the fact that his son would live a full and healthy life. This is the message he is relaying on an aggressive gym tour that he is currently doing that will include 79 different facilities.
As part of the partnership, Jersey Pump will contribute a portion of all of its sales to JAR of Hope.
