Pre-PostGame, Inc. proudly announces that client Morlon Greenwood, former National Football League (NFL) and Syracuse University standout, was inducted into the inaugural class of the Nassau County High School Athletics Hall of Fame on Wednesday night.

“In high school, we find the people who believe in us before we even believe in ourselves,” Greenwood said after being inducted. “I am honored to be here tonight, and I am truly appreciative of the support. This is the inaugural class of the Nassau County High School Athletics Hall of Fame, so being included in the first one really shows how they feel about me. I am almost at a loss of words when I think about how incredible it feels to be acknowledged like this.”

The induction ceremony was held on Wednesday night at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York. Only six total athletes were inducted into the inaugural class, with the remaining 18 inductees being coaches, administrators, contributors and officials. During the presentation, an official announcement was made that the eventual home of the Nassau County High School Athletics Hall of Fame will be at the brand new Nassau County arena that is scheduled to finish construction in December 2016.

An All-County/All-State football player and state champion wrestler at Freeport High School, the Jamaica-born Greenwood was the youngest inductee of the inaugural class. Following his tremendous high school career, he earned a scholarship to Syracuse University and then enjoyed eight successful years in the National Football League. Remarkably, his athleticism and incredible work ethic also allowed him to record three consecutive knockouts in a professional boxing career.

Greenwood has since expanded his incredible skillset into acting and entertainment, also starting The Morlon Greenwood Foundation Inc., a 501 c3 not for profit organization that provides socially and economically disadvantaged students with community-based programs to hone their academic and social skills.
