Nohra Visits Alma Mater to Address Business Education Class

Jersey Pump CEO Dany Nohra went back to where it all started on Tuesday morning, speaking to Mrs. Donna DeGraw’s business education class at Hackettstown (NJ) High School. It brought things full circle for Nohra, who attended Hackettstown High School when he arrived to the United States as an immigrant from Lebanon in 1993.

“I have dreamed about this day. I have always wanted to give back to the school where it all began,” Nohra remarked. “Walking through the hallways again brought back overwhelming memories. This high school is where I learned how to speak and read English, and it is also where I first interacted with American culture. It was especially surreal to speak here today while my sisters are attending this school. What made the day even better was a young man approached us afterwards about offering his services as an intern for the movement. Inspiring people is what this is all about. That is why we do what we do.”

Nohra spoke to the business students about the creation of Jersey Pump and his own personal journey as an entrepreneur, which began in the very seats where they were sitting. He addressed a variety of topics, including the importance of branding and perseverance. Like Nohra, Jersey Pump is a company that has faced numerous setbacks along the way, only to overcome them and be stronger as a result. He compared the similarities of those business hardships with his own personal life, and he stressed to the students that great success will result from fighting through tough obstacles.

All of the trials and tribulations for Jersey Pump as a company and Nohra as an individual ultimately led to him receiving the Man of the Year Resiliency Award at the Action Martial Arts Magazine Mega Weekend Awards Show in Atlantic City earlier this year, and he had the trophy on hand to show the students as a symbol of perseverance.

Jersey Pump is officially on the market with three flavors (Strawberry, Mixed Berry and Mango), and the product is available for purchase through the company website at For all of the latest information on Jersey Pump and the #GladiatorMovement, make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram: @JerseyPump
