Sky Blue FC Forms Partnership
with New Jersey Jackals

Team Formalizes Relationship with Northern New Jersey Baseball Club

Somerset, N.J. (Tuesday, April 27, 2010) – Sky Blue FC formally announced today that it has formed a partnership with the New Jersey Jackals, a minor league baseball team based out of Little Falls, New Jersey. The two organizations will now assist one another in marketing efforts, while also providing support in ticket promotions.

“We are excited to partner with such a fan favorite as the New Jersey Jackals,” Sky Blue FC General Manager Gerry Marrone said of the relationship. “What’s more, Yogi Berra Stadium is in the heart of both baseball and soccer activities. We look forward to introducing our fans to the Jackals and getting to know the Jackals fans as well.”

This relationship continues to broaden the reach of Sky Blue FC and its fan base into the game of baseball, as the team also has an ongoing partnership with the Lakewood BlueClaws, Class A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Jackals were founded in 1998 and currently play in the independently operated Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball (CanAm League). The team has won a total of four league championships since its inception and has added a pair of division crowns to its trophy case. The Jackals play a home slate of games at Yogi Berra Stadium on the campus of Montclair State University, which is named in honor of the legendary New York Yankees and Hall of Fame catcher.

Sky Blue FC (2-1-0, 6 points) will return home to Yurcak Field in Piscataway this Saturday, May 1st, when it hosts FC Gold Pride (2-1-0, 6 points) in what will be a battle for sole possession of first place in the Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) Standings.
