Gabriel Bracero Putting Perfect Record on Line against Terry Buterbaugh

New York (Tuesday, October 5, 2010) – DiBella Entertainment’s Broadway Boxing returns to BB Kings in New York City on Wednesday, with another loaded card of boxing on tap. In the main feature of the evening, undefeated Puerto Rican fighter Gabriel “Tito” Bracero (11-0, 1 KO) will put his perfect record on the line against veteran boxer Terry Buterbaugh (6-3-1, 3 KOs).

“I feel great, and I’ve been training very hard,” Bracero stated. “I’m so excited to be in the main event. I thank DiBella Entertainment for opening up doors for me. This is my first main event. I have sold a lot of tickets, and I will have a lot of friends and family there. It will be a beautiful experience.”

Bracero has been a regular at BB Kings as part of the Broadway Boxing series, with this bout marking his fourth trip to the downtown Manhattan destination. The 29-year-old Bronx native last stepped into the ring in July at the last series event and stopped Raymond Betancourt in the fourth round. Before that pairing, he fought on the Calderon-Iribe bill at Madison Square Garden, taking a unanimous decision over Philadelphia’s Julias Edmonds.

On the undercard of the evening, New York native Tor Hamer (11-1, 8 KOs) returns to action when he takes on Terrel Nelson (8-10, 5 KOs). The bout is the first for the heavyweight prospect since a very questionable decision loss to Kelvin Price in May on the Malignaggi-Khan bill. The remainder of the undercard features six undefeated prospects, including fast-rising junior middleweight Denis “Da Momma’s Boy” Douglin (10-0, 6 KOs). The last time Douglin fought at BB Kings, he needed just 1:27 of the first round to dispose of journeyman Chad Greenleaf.

This episode of Broadway Boxing will be presented by Kangol Headwear in conjunction with Everlast, with the collaboration of the two lines being part of the 100-year anniversary of Everlast.

“As the Everlast brand celebrates our 100 year anniversary, it is important for us to partner with an authentic brand that shares a similar passion and ability to transcend time, culture, sport and fashion,” said Adam Geisler, President of Everlast. “Our partnership with Kangol gives us the opportunity to authentically share the cultural meaning of our brand with a new demographic.”
