CFFC Announces Comeback Event in Atlantic City on February 5th
Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) has officially announced its return to the Mixed Martial Arts landscape, scheduling its first event since 2007. Under the guidance of a new president, Rob Haydak, Hoss Promotions will host CFFC: The Return at the Resorts International Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City on Saturday, February 5th.
"I agreed to take on the role of President for two reasons,” Haydak stated. “First, the reputation of CFFC and the shows that they put on in the past were second to none. We want to continue that tradition. Second, our new home for at least eight shows in Atlantic City is going to be the place to be in 2011. I've been privileged to get to know the owners and management team first-hand. They bring a level excitement that is contagious."
CFFC has produced some of the top names in the MMA game, including UFC veterans Jim Miller, Dan Miller and former Bellator Welterweight Champion Lyman Good. The biggest splash the promotion made was in 2007 when street fighter and YouTube sensation Kimbo Slice made his MMA debut in a fight against former WBO Heavyweight Champion Ray Mercer.
The upcoming CFFC: The Return card currently has 10 matches on tap. In the main event of the evening, unbeaten Battle Cage Xtreme and Ring of Combat veteran Andrew Riddles (5-0) will take on submission specialist Victor O’Donnell (9-2). Another notable fight slated for the evening is between rising welterweight prospect Gemiyale Adkins (5-0) and former WEC/UFC competitor Logan Clark (14-5).
Tickets for CFFC: The Return are available now through TicketMaster. For additional information on the CFFC, check out www.cffc.tv.
